Future Footprints Marlborough has been set up to run all the MRDT’s sustainability linked programmes. Green Drinks is running all over the world and we think it represents a great networking opportunity for our local community.
Every month people who work in the environmental field, or are just interested in the environment meet up for a drink at informal sessions known as Green Drinks.
Green Drinks are running all around the world. They are normally a lively mixture of people from NGOs, academia, government and business. There is no agenda and they are apolitical. Come along and you'll be made welcome. Just say, "are you green?" and we will look after you and introduce you to whoever is there.It's a great way of catching up with people you know and also for making new contacts. Everyone invites someone else along, so there’s always a different crowd, making Green Drinks an organic, self-organising network.
These events are very simple and unstructured, but many people have found employment, made friends, developed new ideas, done deals and had moments of serendipity.
The venue can change and if people want to host green drinks to show others what their business is up to then they can otherwise we go to a local venue.
No membership fees, no agendas, just an opportunity to meet and network with others.
Spread the word and let people know that green drinks will be held on the first Wednesday of every month
Meet at the Cornerstone bar at 5.30pm on Wednesday August 6th.
